Each pie is 9” and is made with only organic ingredients, with a flaky tasty whole wheat crust.

Essex County buy local map returns by popular demand.
Read the Windsor Star article that discusses the plans for the 2011 version of the Buy Local map. The deadline to be included is February and the cost is $150. Let’s hope that during these tough times a lot of agriculture related businesses see the value in something like this and make the investment.

After this Fridays’ delivery there only 3 more Trusty Food To You delivery days before Christmas! Those days are Tuesday, December 14, Friday, December 17 and Tues, December 21.
Trusty Food delivers local food (including some of their own products) right to your door.
A percentage of all orders will be used towards a delivery of goods to the Food Bank on December 22nd.

What I had originally heard was a media event is now apparently open to the public so get your boots on and head down to Willistead Manor today (December 6, 2010) for tastes of local wines!

Guest speaker will be Will Predhomme of Canoe Restaurant (Toronto). Will just won the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers, Ontario Chapter (CAPS Ontario) 2010 Best Ontario Sommelier Competition.

Windsor Essex Community Supported Agriculture (WECSA) is now selling seeds that they have saved from their farm. The seeds are 100% organic, contain no chemicals and includes some rare selections.
Packages are $1 (plus delivery/shipping). You can get seeds from some area eco-conscious stores or through a WECSA member.
