We had written about Galati some time ago but the Windsor Star has done a nice piece about their business:
While we should think about ways to improve our planet every day, it’s nice that we have one day where the masses make an effort to improve our home.
Locally it looks like many of the Earth Day events will be held on April 25th…
Fun for the entire family! Enjoy over 40 environmental exhibits, crafts, entertainment, food and much more!
Know of other local events that help celebrate this day? Just add them to the comments section!
And, since I love Martha, here’s her list of 10 Ways to Make Earth Day Mean Something.

Just in time for this amazing weather, Sanson Estate Winery has brought back their all beef franks. Throw a BBQ and delight your guests with these great hot dogs. You can also steam them for a more traditional taste; don’t forget the sauteed onions!
Little institutional buns won’t work so stop in at your local bakery for large sausage buns or sub buns.
Here’s what the winery says about their hot dogs:
Everybody has a story about hot dogs. Ours starts with combining our all-natural beef with the skill of our friends at a local sausage company. The result is an all-beef frank with an impressive list of ingredients – notably the lack of fillers, gluten and MSG. This frank has flavour, texture and taste that is worthy of our “From Field to Fork” label. Our challenge was to pair one of our wines with the newest member of our food product family. Well…taste testing in the store has confirmed that our 2007 Bacobama is the perfect partner for this sausage friend. Can you enjoy hot dogs with wine? With Bacobama…yes you can!!
Vacuum packed six franks per pound for $4.99. Buy two or more and save.

Thibert Farm's Inspiration Bread
Two pieces of great news came through this week…
As far as I know these are two separate services. I’ll post more info as I get it. With the Thibert Farm delivery and Natural Earth Organics you can now get almost everything you need delivered to your door…perfect if you don’t have a lot of time for tracking these local items down yourself.
Know a new mom? A delivery from one of these companies would make a great gift!
